1. Find and accurately label the following Acadian settlements on your outline
map. Color when complete.
- Port Royal, Chepoudy, Les Mines, Pigiguit, île Madame, Louisbourg, Tatamagouche, Cobeguit, Beaubassin, Tracadie, Teboque, Pobomcoup, Port-la-Tour

- Zoom into the Maritime provinces by clicking on this
area, until settlement names are easy to read.
2. Compare the map you made to a present day map. See if any of the Acadian
communities remain today. Circle any names on your map that still exist.

each Maritime province individually.
3. Research the Deportation of the Acadians and record at least 5 pieces of factual information on the back of this sheet, for example, Why did the deportation occur? How was it completed? When? What thoughts and feelings were felt by the Acadians who were deported?

4. Imagine you are an Acadian person living in one of the villages located
on your map. Write a journal or diary entry expressing your thoughts, feelings,
or fears about the deportation. Include five pieces of factual information
into the body of the journal.
5. Pass in your map and journal entry for evaluation.
