This map is part of a series of maps published in the 1960's and 1970's, each showing one or more national parks. The map is at 1: 50 000, and so is compiled from topographic maps at the same scale. The compiling agency was Surveys and Mapping Branch of Energy, Mines and Resources [now Natural Resources Canada.] The map has some unique features not found on a normal topographic map: shaded relief, and the use of red labels to indicate recreational features in the park. There is an inset map at 1: 12 000 [one inch equaling 1 000 feet] showing details of facilities near the Park Headquarters.
