Valley of Battle Creek, Saskatchewan

This photograph, which looks toward the northwest, was taken in the valley of Battle Creek in the vicinity of the Cypress Hills Plateau, southwestern Saskatchewan. One of the three benches that lead up to the Cypress Hills Plateau can be seen on the left of the valley. The vegetation of brush and small trees is confined to a narrow strip along the creek. Visible in the distant background is the wooded crest of the Cypress Hills Plateau.
