Audio Transcript of John Scroggs and Richard Norton 1722
Audio Transcript: Scroggs’ short voyage is important due to his discovery of James Knight’s lost expedition on Marble Island (near present-day Rankin Inlet). At the expeditions furthermost point, Norton reported observing a clear channel (probably Chesterfield Inlet) to the west which Scroggs refused to explore.
