Audio Transcript: In 1732 Pierre Gaultier de La Vérendrye (the father of Jean-Baptiste, Pierre Gaultier, Louis-Joseph, and Francois de La Vérendrye) travelled from Fort Saint-Pierre to Lac des Bois (Lake of the Woods) and established Fort Saint-Charles.
