This is a table giving examples of point, line and area interval and ratio data. For point data, one can use pie charts, or proportional circles and dots that represent certain size ranges. For line data, line types representing certain flow classes, flow line classes, and contours are examples. For area data, colours are used to show specified size classes. The colours can be either a range of hues, or as some other type of colour gradation.
