This map of Canada shows the number of tornadoes per 10 000 square kilometres occurring per year. The highest number of tornadoes, between 2.5 and 10, occur in south-western Ontario. There are also high areas, between 2.5 and 4.9 tornadoes, in southern Manitoba, south and central Saskatchewan, and south-central Alberta.
