Much of Canada’s forest industry is located in four ecozones the Boreal Shield, Atlantic Maritime, Pacific Maritime, and Montane Cordillera. Since 1970 there has been an increase in the amount of strictly protected forested areas in these ecozones. The purpose of this indicator is to show the strictly protected area in each of the four forested ecozones.
