Audio Transcript of Pierre Mallet and Paul Mallet 1739
Audio Transcript: In 1739, the Mallet Brothers left St. Louis in search of a route through the wilderness to open French trade from the Missouri River region to Santa Fe. They followed the Missouri River west, travelling down the Platte River to the mouth of the river.
