Ottawa and Toronto, 1793 to 1955
Description
The first two maps on this plate show the extent and classification of land use as of 1955 for Toronto and Ottawa. Stages of urban growth for both of these cities is shown on the remaining two maps. For Toronto, stages of urban growth are shown for periods ranging from 1793 to 1955 and for Ottawa, the periods range from 1826 to 1955.
